 manchild

manchild is written and sung by Arabella, and produced and mixed by Simon Cohen.

The song explores the frustration of being stuck in a long-term relationship with someone who never quite grows up. Someone who drinks too much, takes without giving, acts selfishly, and still expects intimacy without effort or care.

At its core, manchild is about mourning the person you first fell for, and the slow realisation that they no longer exist... if they ever really did. It captures the emotional imbalance of loving someone who feels more like a responsibility than a partner, and the quiet resentment that builds when you’re the only one showing up.

It’s raw, direct, and deeply relatable, especially for women who’ve experienced loving someone who refused to evolve, while still demanding everything from them.

the chase

the chase is written and sung by Arabella, and produced and mixed by Simon Cohen.

Built on a soul-pop foundation with rich layering and expressive ad-libs, the song tells a familiar story, meeting someone who comes on strong, love-bombs hard, and disappears the moment the thrill wears off.

The song captures the frustration and anger that come when the person who pursued you relentlessly is the same one who walks away without explanation. It speaks to the emotional whiplash many women experience: being chosen, idealised, and then abandoned once the chase is over.

the chase is about reclaiming that anger, naming the pattern, and giving voice to the feeling of being left high and dry by someone who never wanted commitment, only the win.

you won't forget me

you won’t forget me is written and sung by Arabella, and produced and mixed by Simon Cohen.

A deeply melancholic track, the song explores the quiet power of being unforgettable, the kind of presence that lingers long after a relationship ends.

Rather than heartbreak from loss, the song sits in the knowing: the understanding that your ex will carry pieces of you into every room they enter, see you reflected in everyone they meet. Like a siren, your memory follows them, a song they can’t unhear, no matter how far they try to move on.

you won’t forget me is introspective, haunting, and self-assured, turning sadness into something almost mythic, a reminder that some connections don’t end, they echo.

strap in

strap in is a demo-level track written and sung by Arabella, and mixed by Tyler Murray.

Rooted in soul with a swingy, slightly jazzy edge, the song channels the sharp anger that comes after being wronged. The moment you realise you never want to see that person again, and that they were never worthy of you in the first place.

The song takes a knowing turn when the ex’s next girlfriend inevitably reaches out, searching for answers about his behaviour, answers you already have. Strap In isn’t about revenge; it’s about recognition. The pattern was always there.

With its closing sentiment, “better strap in”, the song becomes a warning and a release, capturing the satisfaction of clarity after chaos.

Arabella has a large catalogue of unreleased material beyond the tracks presented here. Many of these songs currently exist in their rawest form, demos that are still all carcass and bone, waiting for the right producers to bring them to life.

There are many more fully written songs where these came from, spanning multiple genres and emotional spaces, with significant creative depth still untapped.

Arabella is actively looking for the next step in her music career and is open to collaborating with producers, creatives, and an independent or larger label aligned with her artistic direction.
